Science Lecture 4:
Basic Formulas in Elementary physics:
v= u + at ----- Acceleration formula
W= FD ----- "Work" Formula or "Footdrill formula"
F=ma ----- Newton's 2nd law
P = W/t ----- Power formula
P= F/ A ----- Pressure formula
F = kD ----- Spring Formula (Hooke's Law)
D = M/V ----- Density formula
E = mgh ------ Potential Energy Formula
E= ½ mv2 ------ Kinetic Energy formula (By the way it is "v squared")
W= mg ------ Weight Formula
P = hdg ------ Pressure in Liquids (like you noe, sea pressure.....)
Btw, this is how the last formula was derived:
P = F/A
= W/A (because the force exerted by the liquid is the weight of the liquid)
= (h x A x g x d)/ A (h is the height of the liquid, A is the base area, g is gravity,
d is density)
= h x g x d
therefore, P = hgd
We can also conclude that the "height" of liquid is the depth. Hence, the pressure exerted by a liquid depends on the depth, Density, and gravity if you're not on earth.
Tat's all.
